With the increasing number of vulnerabilities identified, and more phishing and hacking activities going on in the Internet, it is no longer possible for us to tackle these information security issues without the assistance of security tools and proper security management mechanism. The theme of the Information Security Showcase this year -“Technology and Management”- emphasizes the importance of these two elements in protecting us from cyber attacks. The showcase will be an excellent channel for information security products and service providers to exhibit the different ways that can prevent us from falling prey to security incidents. For participants, the informative seminar sessions and latest tools available from the exhibitors will also extend their understanding on the challenging world of attacks and the protection mechanism available.
Organized by Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) , the Information Security Showcase this year will be held on 27 July 2011 (Wednesday) in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. HKPC has been organizing the showcase for consecutive 11 years and this year will again be conducted in the form of seminars and exhibition on various aspects of Information Security in one day, and then followed by a series of in-depth workshops. Overseas experts from the industry will be invited to conduct speeches and workshops.
